Camcorder Challenge
Competition Winner
The winner of the Camcorder Challenge was Fran Elliot with Isolation.

The Competition...
This year the festival aims to encourage people to get their video cameras out and use them for something other than holiday videos and family gatherings.
Think of a short story, an interesting character, or an issue needing coverage and get out there and press record! Animations, documentaries, music videos, fictions are all welcome.
Any camcorder will do, this is not about being technically amazing, its about telling stories or being experimental and having a go.
Unless you want to film in the dogme95 genre, you will need to edit. Various pieces of software are free such as Windows Movie Maker, or imovie, but if you’re really stuck, we will help you as long you’ve done the filming. Durations can be anything from 20 secs to 5 mins in length.
A selection of the films produced will be shown at the festival’s short film screening night. If you are considering making a film please contact us for further hints and tips.
Deadline...
The deadline for the films is May 15th and need to be delivered on DVD, mini DV, DVCAM, HDV or HD (on memory card) if they are to be considered for screening.
