What to wear
The Festival in the Field can be very muddy especially when there has been the sort of rain we had last year. Please wear clothes which are suitable for a field and boots or wellies. It can get cold at night so please remember a jacket or coat.
There are some very good local weather stations and we are proud to be linked to Craven Weather who have an android app which has five day forecasts for the Festival.
During the Festival car parking in the village can be crowded and the Square is often unavailable for parking at weekends. There is a very small free public car park below the Town Hall and overspill parking above the Town Hall and a YDNPA pay and display car park on the Hebden Road which is about 5-10 minutes from the Town Hall.
Grassington is a beautiful small village justly proud of its setting and tranquility. Please be sensitive to local residents in trying to keep noise down when leaving venues late at night. Please take rubbish home with you and help us keep the village clean and tidy.
There is an induction loop for those with hearing difficulties in the Town Hall simply switch your hearing aid to the “T” position. Please call the House Manager on 01756752691 to ensure we help you with access arrangements and wheelchair seating.
We aim to be a child friendly festival and welcome children to events. If you are unsure please contact us and we will talk you through a show so that you can make a decision about taking young children. We have special events aimed at children during the festival which are highlighted in the children and families section of our programme pages.
