Festival in the Square: Street Theatre Day

Saturday 22 June 2019 | 11am-4pm | Grassington Square

Festival Procession

Join our festival procession led by Loud Minority Community Samba Band as we take over the village with this year’s theme of magical creatures. Created by schools and the local community we have let our imagination run wild to design the weird and wonderful. With lots of entertainment on offer throughout the day, grab some lunch from one of our many fabulous eateries and stick around to enjoy some amazing street performers, music and theatre.

Visit the Congregational Church to enter the world of Mark Fraser, The Storyteller. In his story tent you will find magical kingdoms, enchanted forests and mystical mountains. Full of dragons, giants, wizards, witches, faeries and a small boy who picks his nose. With puppets and props, costume and performance you too can be part of a story. And always remember “Tomorrow is another story.” Suitable for ages 1–101 ish.

Inspiration Station

If the bustle of the square gets too much for your youngsters, then why not take some
time out and spend a few quiet crafting moments creating your own magical creatures. Drop-in at the Ladies Room, Grassington Town Hall. Suitable for all ages.

All activities are free.
