Manuka

Manuka is a Leeds based singer/ songwriter. She writes, performs and collaborates across a wide range of genres from Ambient to Folk, Pop, Hip Hop and Indian music. In her songs she brings in her Indian heritage and culture, infuses that with her passion for acoustic folk music to create her own style of Folk India.

Bradford Grammar School Concert Band

Expect some of the greatest songs of the last 60 years when the Bradford Grammar Concert band make their annual visit on the 29th June at 1pm. Featuring such artists as Oasis, The Killers, Wham, Stevie Wonder, Robbie

Williams and Sister Sledge the programme is varied. Under the direction of Dave Roberts the band bring a real feel good vibe to the crowd with no fewer than 40 players and 8 vocalists. The band and their parents look forward to this great opportunity to perform to a large crowd in a wonderful setting. Be sure not to miss them. There is bound to be a song you love.

The Big Easy

An energetic swing band from Leeds consisting of vocals, trumpet, sax, guitar, piano, double bass and drums, with a repertoire carefully chosen to give a lively and varied performance of the best swing from throughout the 20th century; covering the early days of jazz, classic New Orleans numbers and lively jump-jive. Their dynamic, energetic and virtuosic performances make them great to watch & dance; with moments of soulful-melancholy interspersed with high-energy swing, this band promises you a memorable afternoon.

Katie Spencer

Drawing on influences such as John Martyn, Roy Harper and Laura Marling, Katie Spencer creates modern progressive folk music which owes as much the songwriters of the 60’s acoustic music heyday as it does the East Riding landscape where she has always felt a strong spiritual connection …

Her striking vocals and deft song writing are backed by an evocative and complex guitar style that takes her music to places that are both esoteric and beautiful.

The Tenmours

“Take a dive into rampant folk ‘n’ roll! Adam Hopkins, Osian Gruffydd and Alex Johnston- Seymour are the pioneers of the New Folk Fusion genre.

Intertwining folk, rock and world music to bring you an interestingly diverse and jaw-dropping performance. When you see them perform, the stage explodes with energy, charisma, and talent. Your experience will not be forgotten.

The Outside Chancers

A brand new girl/boy duet partnership dubbed “Johnny & June … but darker”.

Members may be familiar from the UK country scene, having collaborated with The Worry Dolls, The Wandering Hearts, Logan Brill and Megan & The Common Threads / Megan O’Neill. An album co-produced with James Simpson of currentBBC Radio 1 darlings Indoor Pets was the fruit of friendships forged “playing non-stop requests in sweaty London clubs”.
